How many active english speakers are in this forum? Or inactive rather. I used to not post, but this place is quiet, so I decided to say something. I'm fairly new here, but I see there used to be more posters... what happened? Let's start posting some more.

Do you mean the guys that have english for mother-tongue or simply all the ones that can speak english?

Druuna used to post some news here but it's gone.

I never really used a translating support before and made a try yesterday with the one Google offers. The result is quit decent and could even be funny to use. That would be a way to post here for french people who don't speak english too well .

@Androide: If I start posting in the french section with a translator, it would be funny, I think I will.

What with the temporary sortofdeath of the other shmups perhaps some lost souls will find their way here

That would be great if they(the other shmups) found their way here and saw how nice everyone was. They would be more inclined to stay and post.

I visit SHMUP every day for news and check the forum too.
I can read french but I'm not able to post in french I'm sorry.
But I love this website!!!
For me it's the best ever shooter's website , even better than the the other famous english site

Yes druuna, if you can't write in French, do not hesitate to post here or anywhere on the site in English, we can translate your question or your answer if someone tells that he doesn't understand one of your messages.

I agree with druuna, there's a lot of english shmup sites, but this site is definately my favorite. I use a translator just so I can read the site.

Considering it's got a top loader, and does work with SwapMagic 3.0, I think running imports/backups on it is gonna be a piece of cake

Anyone knows whether there is some easy to install PS2 modchips ? 'Coz I don't feel like soldering 22 wires, and even less paying 150 bucks to get it installed by some one-armed crook.

I guess messing around with pesky bootcd's will be my only option..

I havn't realy been playing shmups lately but multiplayer games as ime on holydays and friends are comming to my place a lot

I think the most played game actually is GRADIUS V on PS2, there are a few topics about this game on the site (did you buy this game ? And did you post your hi-score ?).

The PStwo is very impressive ! If the store nearby makes an echange with the old model, I will get one !

well yeah I've got Gradius V, but no PStwo yet

The PSTwo really appeals me even if I never will buy it, due to my Neo sucking my wallet dry!

The design's really impressive and I'd've liked to have bought it at least for R-Type Final. Seems like this game's an absolute gem.

What will its price be btw? Around $150?

The NDS will be released in a few weeks/months so more frustration to foresee guys...

I believe it'll be 150EUR, that's right we're being gouged once more on a 1 to 1 dollar to euro conversion

Anyway, the release date is on the 1st, but as it's a bank holiday it may well (read: almost without doubt) be out on the friday or saturday. Depending on how I feel I may go pick one up.

Well my English is fair enough to be understood by common English-speakers ... It's not that I cannot post anything in English, but yes it's more due to shyness (does that word actually exist ?) than anything else.

Also my vocabulary isn't pretty large, even if I speak rather fluently, but perhaps by posting more regularly on this part of the forum I should be able to enlarge my technical vocabulary furthermore :-D
