Fullblast est sur Steam Greenlight, tout vote ou aider la diffusion de notre projet est plus que bienvenu
Sorry for the English description but I'm not a French speaker (but our game is fully translated into French)
FullBlast is a retro style vertical Shoot'em up that will delight nostalgic players who have grown up
playing SHMUPS on arcade machines.
FullBlast's graphics are inspired on titles from the 80's and 90's, but using current technology and
visuals, so it may result also attractive for the new generation of players that could discover a
genre largely untapped today.
Regarding gameplay, FullBlast features classic SHMUP mechanics, this is not a bullet hell game, it is
a fast paced action game, but more like the old classics.
The game features a story campaign of 12 random levels. As usual in every game of this genre,
mankind is at the verge of extinction due to alien invasion and you're the last hope to save the
world, so take the control of your powerful fighter and upgrade your weapons to kill thousands of
alien ships and creatures.
- Gorgeous 3D graphics
- Story campaign of 12 random levels
- 2 player co-op mode
- Power ups and power downs, watch out what you pick!!!
- 4 Mini bosses
- 3 Mega bosses
- 3 Difficulty levels
- Heavy metal sound track

Hi !
It looks rude from us not to react but this game seems to have some major flaws compared to other high quality shooters around :
- 12 random levels > nice when programming the game but NOT fun in the end (I'm positive, random is NOT nice in a shooter)
- the ship power VS enemies resistance ratio looks to be in favor of the enemies > NOT fun (plus the main shot looks ridiculously weak)
- some power ups are maluses > NOT fun
- classic shooter with vertical scrolling on a wide screen > how do you make all the screen fun to play ?
It's a shame because the game 'looks' great and you definitely aimed your game towards casual gamers (and yes, that's a good point from my point of view). Hope it will find its audience anyway...

According to the screenshots and the trailer, Fullblast is not widescreen, the game ratio seems to be 1:1, like Strikers 1945+.Radigo a écrit :- classic shooter with vertical scrolling on a wide screen > how do you make all the screen fun to play ?

Thanks for your comments and feedback guys
@Radigo: I guess that it is a question of tastes, the random levels just means that the order of the level tiles and waves will be different in each game, so you can play the same level several times and the experience will be a bit different each time. The boss combats, etc are scripted and always work in the same way.
The basic ship firepower is pretty weak, yep, but it can be upgraded quickly with a couple of power ups, most of people find the game too easy, not too hard. The more hard core gamers find easy even the hard difficulty level.
The power downs are just to add a bit more of complexity to the gameplay, once more I guess it its a question of tastes if you like it or not.
The screen is not panoramic, as Mickey said if you look to the screenshots or trailer the screen is cropped, and one more time it depends on the taste of each one, we had good feedback from the most old school players but also a lot of request to make it full screen from the newest players.
